Louis Braille (January 4, 1809–January 6, 1852) was the discoverer of the Braille writing system for the blind.

Braille was natural within Coupvray near Paris, France. His father, Simon-René Braille, was a harness/saddle maker, & at the age of terzetto Louis hurt his left eye by using an awl from the workshop. This driven an contagion within his left eye which besides tainted his best eye & he became unsighted.

Whenever he was Tenner he earned the scholarship to the Institution Royale des Jeunes Aveugles (Royal Institution for Blind Youth) around Paris. He played a organ & became prof of the equivalent Institution.
